We did not just want to open a shop. We wanted to open a front door for the whole village. When we looked at this space, we saw a chance to create a hub where everyone feels comfortable regardless of why they are stopping by. Brunch and Bean is built on the idea that a cafe should be the heart of its high street.
We know that Earl Shilton is a village of walkers and workers. Because of that, we have a very simple rule about who is allowed in. Everyone is welcome. If you are coming in from a long walk with a dog, we have a spot for you. If you are on your lunch break in your work gear, pull up a chair. We have designed the layout to be spacious enough for prams and wheelchairs because a community spot should be accessible to every single person who wants to visit.
Life is a mix of busy mornings and slow afternoons. If you need a quiet corner to get some work done on your laptop, we have reliable Wi-Fi and plenty of power outlets. If you are meeting the family for a loud Saturday celebration, we can move the tables to accommodate you. We do not rush our guests. Stay for ten minutes or stay for two hours. The atmosphere here is shaped by the people who visit us, and we love the mix of energy that our customers bring through the door.
Being part of this village means supporting the people within it. Wherever possible, we source our ingredients from local suppliers The Rare Butcher, 31 Mallory Bakers, FosseField Farm, Middlefield Farm (Moo Juice Milk), Midalton Honey. We believe in keeping things honest and straightforward. By choosing us for your morning coffee or your weekend treat, you are helping us support other local businesses too. We are proud to call Earl Shilton home and we look forward to seeing the familiar faces of our neighbours every day.
